Warren

Warren lived in the Palace of the Prophets, where he was brought as a child by the Sisters of the Light when his gift for magic presented itself. Age 157 when Richard Rahl first met him, Warren was an extremely shy individual who spent most of his time in the vaults studying books of prophecy, earning himself the nickname Mole. He also had a fear of the outdoors. In addition to this, he was in love with Pasha, the novice assigned to teaching Richard.

Warren had long, curly blonde hair and brilliant blue eyes, which held intelligence beyond his apparent years. Having lived at the Palace of the Prophets for over one hundred and fifty years he looked much younger than Verna, yet she was only a year older than him. He was often dressed in a long violet robe, with silver at the cuffs.

Because he appeared so young people were often surprised at the intelligence Warren possessed. He appeared to know a little about everything and his gift was that of prophecy, although he was skilled at healing and possessed other abilities as well.

Warren first met Richard when he invited him down to the vaults to show him a prophecy Richard was featured in. In exchange for researching every prophecy related to Richard, The Keeper and the Boxes of Orden, Richard took Warren outside to help him overcome his fears. The two became very close friends.

Warren was the one who told Richard the truth about the web that was placed on the Palace Of The Prophets three thousand years ago. When Pasha, under the influence of either Jagang or the Sisters of the Dark, attacked Richard, in an effort to save his friend, Warren was forced to kill the woman he loved, thereby passing a Test Of Pain and earning his freedom from the Rada'Han, although he decided to stay on at the palace and study the prophecies. When Verna was named Prelate, Warren became her closet confidant, with the two becoming extremely close. Not long after, Warren became a prophet, his first prophecy being an ominous one about the fall of the palace. He was captured when the Sisters Of The Dark returned and sealed in the Prophet's Chambers. However, when Richard and Kahlan freed Verna, she saved Warren, and the two admitted they were in love.

Not long after, Warren began experiencing the pain of the gift, brought on by his new abilities. However, thanks to Nathan Rahl, he learned how to control his power more completely. Warren and Verna then took the Sisters of The Light and the untrained wizards to join the D'Haran army, where they worked alongside Kahlan and Zedd to try and turn the tide of war against the Imperial Order. Warren and Zedd became very close, most likely due to Warren's advanced years. However, not long after Zedd and Adie finally married Warren and Verna, an Imperial Order assassin named Gadi attacked a young girl named Holly, and Warren tried to save her. The girl survived, but Warren was fatally injured. It is possible that Warren had fortold his death some time before. He was mourned by the army as a whole, and by his friends and wife in particular.
